The days seem to be flying by. I can't believe it has been nearly a year since I last posted anything on my blog. School starts for me next week. I will be a junior this year! It seems like yesterday I was anxiously beginning my freshman year of college. I feel some of the same nervousness this year because I am attending a new college this year and I may begin substitute teaching as well. Having never attended public school as a child, I'm a bit nervous about running a classroom. My brother reminded me the other day that even if I fail horribly in this new stage in my life, it is all in God's plan. His statement has been quite a comfort to me.

On a lighter note, something funny happened to me today. I was baby-sitting an eleven-year-old boy and a two-year-old girl, as I have been doing all week. I was doing some dusting in the dining room and found a large bouncy ball, which I gave to the two-year-old to play with. She amused herself with it for some time before wandering into another part of the house. A few moments later, I heard the toilet flush! I ran to the bathroom to discover the bouncy ball stuck in the bottom of the toilet and my little girl standing over it. I had to pry the ball out with my hand! It was kind of funny, though, and a reminder to keep her in my sight at all times.

Happy Thursday!

Fall!

Fall is here! Well, it has been autumn for a while now. I am just now proclaiming it, though. :D I am half way through my third semester of school. Time is sure flying. I have been taking a class in which I observe at a local elementary school. I am observing a fourth grade class and really enjoy it. Today, I was reminded by my professor that I need to come up with a lesson plan and teach it to the children. Yikes! This semester has really made me get out of my comfort zone. Happy Fall!!

I started back to school on the 24th of this month and am already swamped with homework. This semester, I am taking 17 credit hours. I am hoping that I can complete the semester with out dropping any of them. I am thankful that I have the opportunity to attend college and will try to remind myself of that when the homework is piling up. With all that said, I do enjoy all of my classes. My teachers are all nice and helpful. I especially enjoy my American Government teacher and the examples he uses to prove his points. (Talking about food is always fun!)

An afternoon with Andie

My mom has been baby-sitting on and off since I was a toddler. This summer, she has one child that comes four days a week. Today, I baby-sat for her while she went to town. I had a lot of fun playing with Andie, who is thirteen months old, and took some pictures of her with her stuffed monkey. Andie adores stuffed animals and usually has one, if not two, in her arms. Andie also loves making faces!

An early morning walk

I awoke early this morning and went for a walk. It was so beautiful and peaceful. A baby rabbit and a yellow pussy cat watched me as I walked past the yard that they were lounging in. Thank the Lord for Sunday mornings!

My First Day of Blogging!

Hello everyone! I am excited to post my first blog entry. I have enjoyed picking out a background and choosing text colors. Next, I need to pick out a photograph of myself to put in my profile.
